L/100km Fuel Consumption Calculator
L/100km Fuel Consumption is evaluated from Fuel Used, Distance Driven and Fuel Price per Liter. The calculation reports Fuel Consumption, Equivalent MPG and Km per Liter.

About the L/100km Fuel Consumption Calculator
The calculator uses a multi formula configuration. Each reported value is read as a direct evaluation of the stored rules with the declared field formats and units.
Formula basis:
L/100km = how many liters to travel 100 km. Lower is better (inverse of MPG). Multiply by 2.31 for kg CO₂ (gasoline). Convert to MPG using constant 235.214 (US gallons/miles relationship).
Interpret the outputs in the order shown by the result fields. Optional inputs affect only the outputs that depend on those variables.
Formula & How It Works
The calculation applies the following relations exactly as recorded in the metadata: L/100km = how many liters to travel 100 km. Lower is better (inverse of MPG). Multiply by 2.31 for kg CO₂ (gasoline). Convert to MPG using constant 235.214 (US gallons/miles relationship). Each output field is produced by substituting the supplied inputs into the relevant relation and then applying the declared rounding or text format.
Worked Examples
Example 1: Toyota Camry equivalent driving: 7.5L used over 95km
Inputs
With Fuel Used = 7.5, Distance Driven = 95 and Fuel Price per Liter = 1.6 as the stated inputs, the result is Fuel Consumption = 7.89 L/100km, Equivalent MPG = 29.8 mpg and Km per Liter = 12.67 km/L. Each value corresponds to the declared output fields.
Example 2: European diesel SUV: 9.2L used over 110km
Inputs
With Fuel Used = 9.2, Distance Driven = 110 and Fuel Price per Liter = 1.75 as the stated inputs, the result is Fuel Consumption = 8.36 L/100km, Equivalent MPG = 28.1 mpg and Km per Liter = 11.96 km/L. Each value corresponds to the declared output fields.
Example 3: Subcompact city car: 4.5L used over 100km
Inputs
With Fuel Used = 4.5, Distance Driven = 100 and Fuel Price per Liter = 1.55 as the stated inputs, the result is Fuel Consumption = 4.5 L/100km, Equivalent MPG = 52.3 mpg and Km per Liter = 22.22 km/L. Each value corresponds to the declared output fields.
Example 4: Performance car track day: 22L used over 80km
Inputs
With Fuel Used = 22, Distance Driven = 80 and Fuel Price per Liter = 1.8 as the stated inputs, the result is Fuel Consumption = 27.5 L/100km, Equivalent MPG = 8.6 mpg and Km per Liter = 3.64 km/L. Each value corresponds to the declared output fields.
